Well, I have to do it. I need to get the dreaded windsheild for Lily. So far I'm not having luck finding one so I figured I'd ask here in case someone can help. The car I have is a '82 Buick Lesabe custom Eureka hearse. Normally I wouldn't care about the crack in the windsheild, but I really don't wanna get a ticket for it.

thats same here in KY...free glass replacement. This I found out after I bought one for $300 from CW Coach...which was a bargain for a commercial glass windshield for the '70 Combo. If the glass company has difficulty locating one--hint that Carl might have one and have them contact him.Comment

The strange thing is, I had an ex that had the windshield of his car smashed by the car's hood (it's a long story), and his insurance wouldn't pay for it! I'm not sure why, and I forget which insurance he had, but I do hope that don't happen to me. Also, I hope I don't get pulled over when I do eventually drive Lily from GA to FL. That would suck...
And Grim, even tho you found out after you bought yours, you hafta admit that you were lucky to have only spent $300 on yours. I hear they really do go for a lot! Btw, does Tish still have the window with the bullet hole in it? LOL!Comment

Oh yeah...Tish still has the bullet hole. Tricia wants to keep it but when the other flat glass gets replaced it is going too. She wants to put the photos from salvage yard to current condition behind it and take it with us to car events. That would be a pretty unique display I guess and have a history with the coach.
What is the timeframe for Lily going to Florida?Comment

To be honest, I really don't know. She's at Kevin's place now, and it depends on when he can get the time to take out the fuel tank, and see if he can fix the leak or not. Unfornately he's been bombarded with so many other things to do (including trouble with his car), so its hard to say when. Also, I gotta see when (or if) I can get time off of work to go up there and drive her back here. I do hope I can get her here by October. That would be great!Comment
