  • Looking for a Hearse, Ontario, Canada

    Hello,

I am looking to find a hearse to replace mine that died on me.
I am having a real hard time finding what I am looking for as I am in Ontario, Canada.

Hope that someone here may have some ideas/know anyone who could help.

I am prefering an older pre 1980, and I do not mind having to fix her up as long as it is not in too bad of shape.

    Thank-you

Willing to travel? I was about 2 hours south of the Ontario / NY border this weekend. I would suggest looking to PA at least.

I am indeed willing to travel, just concerned about how to get across the border and registering a US car in Canada, the reason why I was looking mainly in canada. willing to for the right one

From what I understand, it is easier to get a car up than to get one back down...I asked on another forum with many International members.

I've sold cars to people in Canada... typically they want to hold the vehicle at the border for 72 hours while it clears customs. But there's a way to pre-arrange a smooth passage... If you find one in the states & present all the info on the car such as the VIN # and whatever else they need for customs (I did a notarized copy of the title for a Canadian buyer) to your customs authorities they can run it through the system ahead of time... so on your day of delivery it's a breeze at the border. I can tell you another way... I did it once... but wouldn't recommend it. You'll need a seller willing to haul (or drive) the car into Canada (I used the Windsor border in Detroit) and do the exchange in Canada, the buyer goes home with cash & an empty trailer (or a ride home) & you do the ownership transfer once it's home. Don't ask details, this was all arranged by the Canadian buyer of an old Airstream I had & he said he had no problems. He paid extra $$$ for me to deliver it through the border to him from Ohio. It just made me nervous... so i'd look into a pre-arrangement with Canadian Customs & go that route.
