  • need a couple of caddy parts

need a couple of parts for my 96
    I still need:

The small piece of rocker trim in front of the rear tire on the passenger side

    That's IT!
She should be whole after that!

    don't need these anymore
a drivers side mirror - edit ordered a new one for $50

also need a couple of trim clips
need a couple of these from the chrome trim where the vinyl meets the side - edit made 'em by cutting the ones I had in half

and the plastic clips that held the trim around this plate - edit made 'em

Gonna hit the junkyard this weekand try for the trim and the mirror, any idea on the Eureka parts?

Send a PM to Abnorml... he just scrapped out a 1995 krystal coach (they picked it clean) so he may have at least some of the stuff you need

Talked to him, he said the krystal didnt use anything like these
The mirror n trim are standard caddy so they didnt get them, I'm hoping for junkyard treasure tomorrow

        clips

I went through the roof clip deal on My 72. I ended up sawing Them in half to make twice as many, worked fine, didnt have to be that long to work, good luck, TC

          That is a great idea!
Duh wtf didnt I think of that!

Had a semi-successful trip to the boneyard today, they had a 93 fleetwood brougham I ganked some little stuff off of.
No drivers side mirror though, gonna have to just fork over $50 and buy a new one I guess.

I did manage to get one of the burlwood door panels with the window/lock controls and speaker in it, one of the chrome rocker panels, the digital compass/autodim rearview mirror, new lenses for the fiber optic light indicators and a bunch of trim - wreaths, cadillac script etc for $20.
The fleetwood I was working on there had a nice looking LT1 vette motor in pretty unmolested shape still in it.

Did that last night, worked like a charm!
            Thanks!
Like I said, dunno wtf I didn't think of that.
Cut most of the side clips in half - 30 minutes with the bandsaw and drill press, and I ended up with enough to properly install the vinyl roof trim AND reattach the triangle trim behind the back door.

Now I just have to get back to the scrap yard and snag the rear passenger door rocker trim off of a fleetwood to try to make the piece that goes between the wheelwell and the back door.
Turns out 'normal' caddies don't have that piece. Since it interfaces with the fender skirt in back, I'm hoping I can use a rear door piece and cut the front down to make it fit.
