I was fortunate that my wife works at a funeral home and was able to ask one of the older guys who works with her if he knew where any old hearses were (which thankfully he did). I would advise calling some local funeral homes and inquiring about any older cars in their fleet. I started out my search by riding around funeral homes in the surrounding areas and simply looking closely to what may be parked just out of sight in the rear of the establishment (but please respect people's businesses and property by not tresspassing).
The best thing to always remember is that adage that "money talks." You will do much better by making a cash offer on a car with the money in your hand than you will trying to negotiate a price based simply on the premise that you are "interested" in purchasing a car.
Simply to point out an obervation from my own experience, I can tell you that there seems to be a common trend among caucasian funeral directors of trading their old hearses in for newer ones. However, African-American funeral directors (especially the smaller, independent ones) seem to hold on to their coaches and park them just out of sight behind the establishment rather than trade them in. I don't know why this seems to be the case, but I've seen it this way all over the rural South East.
      Good luck in your search!

I think Riff Raff's 71 would be a good buy. Might need some work, but most of the older one do. He's not that far from you. I live on the other end of the state, closer to North Carolina.
