Wasn't trying to be derogatorive - doesn't really matter to me what homosexuals like to be called, after being informed on current slang, was just pointing out what the slang was a few years ago around here.

Haven't really had much to do with CBs since my last marrage anyway - the only thing I had any fun doing on the CB was holding "Fox Hunts". - (wife says no more)

I don't really care either, I just don't need some big burly gay trucker looking to beat my ass for calling him a "sissy pants".

What is this "fox hunt" think you speak of?

        Fox Hunt (not haunt)...

Some nights a female (the Fox) will say over the air something like "Hey, I got a case of beer - find me", and the 'hunt' is on.

Now everyone within ear shot starts talking to her, asking questions, talk to each other, etc.. The idea is to find her by comparing band / signal strenght, and sometimes area landmarks to zero in on her.

She DOESN't actually tell her location, but may say "I'm in a blue car" or "I can see the 4th street bridge from here", something like that.

The 'hunt' can go all night, and sometimes ends up in a big CB party - but usually once you find the girl, you head just as fast in the other direction (OK, maybe this is where the Fox 'Haunt' comes in - LOL)

We used to do something like that when I lived in the Dallas area. Several people would get together and anti up $5 a piece. Someone was picked to go hide.

            Rules basically consisted of:

You could only hide in areas accesible to the general public.
Don't break any laws during the game.
Had to be within certain area. (borders were usually major road/hwys)
            Bare radio's only (no linears/amplifiers)
The person hiding was required to respond when talked to.
They had to stay put, (no roaming).
We also set a time limit.
Probably a few others I can't remember right off, but you get the idea.

If you found the person hiding you got the money. If time expired before the person was caught they got to keep the money. Was lots of fun.

Sounds like it, I'd love to do shit like that, scavenger hunts, shit that's fun to do in cars that requires actual driving and cruising around, not just sitting in a parking lot shooting the breeze, although that's fun too. I just wish gas was less expensive to make it affordable.

Another fun driving game is 'The Bear Run' (some refer to this now - since the movie - as 'the Cannonball Run')

                1. Find a cop
                2. Zip past him at about 90mph
                3. Try to stay out of jail

Easy to play, rules are pretty easy to understand, and holds a lot of excitement - LOL

Yeah, however lets try to keep it legal.

Also, although there are tricks to keep from getting caught (most were used in the recent real life run, that I can't remember the name of, but found anyway http://www.wired.com/cars/coolwheels...?currentPage=1). The improved communications and such between police, helicopters, traffic cams, and other such technologies make things much much more difficult in this modern age. To quote the article

According to Yates and his fellow Cannonballers, trying to beat that record today is pointless. Their argument goes something like this: Cannonball records were set back when the free-wheelin' '70s hooked up with the greed-is-good '80s for fat lines of cocaine and unprotected sex. But these, brother, are Patriot Act days — executive-privilege end times in which no rogue deed goes untracked, no E-ZPass unlogged, no roaming cell phone unmonitored by perihelion satellite. Big Brother is definitely watching. Big Speed, the old Cannonballers say, is a quaint, 20th-century idea, like pay phones or print magazines.
Not to mention doing so in A HEARSE which is easily spotaible red blinking target already would just be insane.

Officer 1 "Yeah a hearse just passed me by at 90 MPH".

Officer 2 "I'm sorry what did you say, sounded like you said a heasrepassed you by at 90".

Officer 1 "That's right, can you get him".

                  Officer 2 "I'm on it".

Then it ends with the car impounded, and the driver just pounded.

C'était un Rendez-vous (movie that was mentioned)
