Removal of my membership in you club.

I was wondering if you would be so kind at to remove my membership from the club please? I just feel that our views on what a hearse club should be like are different. I wish everyone the best and hope that your club continues to go in the direction that you think is is the right direction , Thank you.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "what a hearse club should be like" - I think the only thing that everyone in the clubs agree on as what a hearse should be like would be 'running' - otherwise it's up to the individual.

I'll leave your account open so that if you ever do buy a hearse and change your mind you can come back - if you choose not to, that is your choice.

I thought I was being honest and nice enough when I logged on and requested to have my membership removed and I thank Psychoholic for the way this requested was treated. But the reply from Morella was very rude and that is one of the reasons that I have asked for the cancelation so why dont you go back and play with your toy and if you or anyone else wants to "try" and remove me from the planet then hey! Give it a try. And if thats what you call "lame" then so be it Bob. Maybe when you and some of the other members learn to show some respect to the others then I think this might turn out to be a top notch hearse club. But hey...thats the good thing about being in America I can cancel my membership and some of you can be complete jerks and assholes...lol And the bad thing about this crap is I've lowered myself to a lower level by responding to your comments. Once again thank you Psychoholic for your display of manners.

Dude, you knew you'd get some shit for the way you left - you couldn't possibly believe that someone would either try and talk you into staying or would not give at least some rash of shit to your departure. The only reason you would post that you want to cancel your membership is to draw attention to the fact that you are leaving for some personal reason that doesn't jive with the way the club/organization does things - and then you fail to even mention specifically what those things are. You didn't pay any dues (there aren't any currently), there isn't a roster, I don't have a picture of your car on the wall (last I checked you didn't actually have one), and you don't have a contract with us - so to what ends does 'canceling' your membership provide other than to publicly say "I'm leaving and I want some attention while doing it".

You talk of respect like we give it out like foodstamps to the poor. Respect is earned around here - and I would put good odds on if you had posted "You're all a bunch of dicks, I don't like the way things are run, I'm fucking GONE" you would have garnered a higher respect level from people for having some integrity.

Having said all of that - I am curious as to the things that we do that you don't agree with. I am not the only one who runs this joint, I just happen to be pretty loud about the things I'm thinking and I spend a tremendous amount of time online so I'm probably the most prevelant. Give some feedback and we can work with that. Help plan stuff or come up with ideas and we can grow with that. Brooding about something that bothers you that you haven't brought to anybodies attention, then leaving since nobody reacts to the reasons you don't list is weak as hell.

Frank from the Lonestar Hearse Association: I had to chime in with Chris on this one. All you've stated is the above, "I just feel that our views on what a hearse club should be like are different." What direction do you feel this hearse club should be going? Like that of the PCS? Another sterile and mundane organization that their hearses only see light of day for 5-6 hours once a year and the rest is either in a trailer or a garage for no one to see the otehr 364/365 (leap years) days of the year?

When you signed up to be a "member" of the Forums, you did read what whis organization caters to. We're NOT mainstream or that of the PCS. YES, some of us own restored/original coaches on here, but we also feel that an individual should AND does have that right to do with his/her coach as they wish to suit their personality, style, etc. Most of us are also a lil rough around the edges, this is what also brings us together.

Is it the organizational structure of the NHAA? Is it too loosely structured? Should we have elections for the Executive Board with those Officers being elected from the Member Clubs and their Executive Boards?

I do agree with this part of what everyone said.....you placed your "cancellation" in Public Forum to either get attention or to receive the comments you have.

Wow, I really don't even know who you are or how long you have been a member here, but you sure must have ulterior motives for joining a hearse club if you don't even own a hearse. I for one, having owned my Elvira for the past 30 years, was greatful to find such clubs to help with some of the ridicule and bashing I and Elvira has seen from people like you. My views of what a hearse club should be has no bearing on why I joined. Every privately owned hearse is a work of art to its owner, what he or she does to their vehicle is their own business and has resulted in some very awsome creations like Cathedral. Good riddens to members that have no hearse and thinks that everyone else has made their coach into a pile of shit. Knowing Elvira as I do, she would be very insulted by such slander.
