Use to have a red 'tint' to my hair, now mostly white.

I have a picture on a driver's license, BM, that was, (before marriage), where I have Dorothy Hammill hair, which was much easier to ride a creeper with, but when Tony saw that, he told me that he would divorce me if I ever cut my hair that short again. Then he got a haircutting kit and a razor and shaved his head bald. I told him that if he loses the beard, the same divorce deal applies. Bald men (at least, white bald men)only look cool when they have facial hair...otherwise, you're married to a dildo with ears that won't even fit in your dresser drawer.
I could see cutting some hair off when you're at the 3' mark, especially if you're one of those people who is growing bald, and instead of just being proud of it or removing the horseshoe, they comb the hair from one side to the other to try to cover up the bald spot. Now that would look silly, and it would take some feminine hair clips to put it all together, which one of these people would probably try to tuck under his shirt, only to have it pop out, along with all of that hair, in the middle of giving a lecture at work. I've probably made that point, haven't I? I'm a little whacked as my morning medicine is kicking in. I think that the feeling of the pain going away makes me happy-goofier than the medicine itself. It just makes me tired.
OK, back to haircuts. Don't take it all off at once! You can go back to Supercuts again if it's not short enough! Yes, it grows back, for the average Human at 4" a year, and slower as they get older. That's a long time to wait to get your hair back, especially if you miss it. And Chaser Bill, you gave me a mindfuck when you cut yours after I hadn't seen you for a year, and showed up with cat eye contacts. I didn't recognize you at first.
One more thing. Bangs. Before you consider putting bangs in your hair, put your picture in a paint program and take a look at what you would have. There are plenty of artists here who could do that for you. I HATED bangs when I got them, and they look awful as you're getting the dozen or so haircuts that it takes to get them totally blended back in. Mine are just almost there, after four years, and I can't stop having it cut until they catch up completely.
Finally, before you work under your car, in addition to using the proper jackstands, get a dogbone creeper, tie up your hair or pony tail it and put it down your shirt. Getting your hair wound around a wheel hurts, and you can't get it out without losing a chunk of it. You'll look like that girl in the movie Sixteen Candles who gets her hair caught in the door and has it cut off with the big scissors.
Oh, and for the girls, don't expect to have long hair in the desert unless you want it bare or scraggly. No matter what you use on it, it breaks. They won't even perm mine, not even a little wave, because it gets so badly broken and damaged. If I go to a warm and humid place, the damage starts healing almost right away, and my hair goes back to its naturally wavy state. If I work hard and perspire in humidity, it keeps curling, almost into an afro. I've never heard of anyone else having this condition...does anyone, or was I just made that way?
