An Internet troll is someone who is using another name and/or another personality to bait someone into a flame war. Usually the troll will act stupid to attract someone who believes that (s)he is more intelligent, but Stodd does it the other way around, for whatever reason.

As for why we do it, pour le sport. It's usually nothing personal, unless someone is stupid enough to take it that way.
