I too was skeptical until Al-Qaeda confirmed it and started making threats.

sunday night we were at the amon amarth show when we heard about this. so on the way home we listened to am news. they were saying that there was a bombing 8 days before in the mountains , and he was killed then. his body was on its way to the u.s.a. for dna conformation. the pres and staff had been in meetings the whole week before deciding how to precede with the information. the next morning the story changed. we also heard the 2nd in command and other higher people in the al-qaida were killed too.
my question is, why take out everyone in the room with critical shots but shoot the wife in the leg? sounds fishy

We'll people are taking it on faith that Jesus was born in Bethlehem, and considering what a fake his birth certificate turned out to be, people are taking it on faith that Obama was born in Hawaii.

Remember the Koran burning in I think Forida, that nobody heard about until Al-Qaeda made a big deal about it, so they could be publically outraged? Al-Qaeda is always looking for reasons to be outraged about the "Great Satan". If Bin Laden had been killed prior to the raid, and the Man Child wants to claim that he actually supported a blatantly illegal assasination to bolster his poll numbers, of course Al-Qaeda is going to back up Obama. I suppose the people who are backing up Obama were there at the time of the assault where the seals allegedly took Bin Laden, were there when the post mortum was performed, or spent three days searching the compound, calling out "Bin Laden, hey Bin Laden, where are you? What's up with that guy? Why doesn't he answer?"

If it was reported that he had been located and the U.S. was attempting to extradite him by legal means, then everybody looking for a reason to put Obama down would be screaming that he was soft on terrorists. If a picture had been released of some disfigured corpse with half it's face blown off, the same people would say it was a fake. Maybe if Sarah Palin was dragging the body behind a snowmobile it would have been more convincing?

What would have been convincing is bringing the body back, instead of dropping it in the drink. As far as Sarah Palin is concerned, when she was supplied with a nice wardrobe, with no expense to the taxpayer to look good on television, the left went ballistic about how wrong that was to be supplied with expensive clothes. Hillary or the first lady are supplied with a nice wardrobe, and the left will say how stylish they are. But I know what you mean about some people ignoring solid evidence, with all the evidence that terrorists caused the destruction of the WTC, there are lefties who are insisting it was done by Bush.

What I'm getting at is, why would any president try to fake that? To have him turn up alive and make the president a blatant phony for the history books. No man is that foolish. If he died previously it would have been reported one way or another.
Even Bush wasn't foolish enough to try that and it goes without saying he would have loved to get the credit since 9-11 happened on his watch.
In the end Bin Laden was only one man, he was the face of an idea. Whether his death changes anything for better or worse remains to be seen.

Why would a president fake his own birth certificate? The one on the white house website was shown to be a fake by people using Adobe Acrobat. You could clearly see what were the original parts, and where the Birth Certificate had portions removed, and something else had been writen in its place. Obama has long been seen to be weak on Muslim Terrorism. What better way to appear strong on Terrorism then to take out a terrorist leader? Muslims claim that the burial at sea was not a respectful way to treat a Muslim body. A burial at sea is, according to Muslim tradition, for those who die on board a ship, so the whold Idea that he wanted to be respectful is suspect. The right thing to have done, from a legal point of view, was to have a full inquest and a post mortum performed on the body. The right thing to do as the American President was to have brought the body back so the people he serves could have celebrated the death of a monster. What was done, especially by continually changing the story from day to day, may satisfy those who want to believe in Obama, but if you already don't trust the man, how could the rapid disposal of the body do anything but raise questions?

As gratifying as giving him the Mussolini treatment might have been, it seems a little too much like the way they do things for my taste. For example, if we'd treated the Nazi and Japanese war criminals the way they'd behaved, we would have been hard pressed to claim we were any better. I'm sure there were many at the time who wished we had, but in the end doing the civilized thing proved we were indeed civilized as we claimed to be.
I can bask in the idea of revenge better than most can, trust me. The better part of me knows that's the worst part of me too. The guy is dead and nothing will undo it, there is no appeal, so in the end justice was done.

I don't care about Obama's birth certificate - I don't like his economic views and that alone is enough for me not to vote for him. I'm way too much of a pragmatist to even begin to get all conspiracy theory about the timing of when they got him. If it was a pre-election stunt, he would have done it in September of next year.

I would have perferred to have the post mortum by an international team, and then handed the body over to the Muslims for disposal. It would have been very interesting to see how many honors the Muslim world would have given Bin Laden.

I watched the news today that Osama bin Laden was watching TV about himself before getting killed! I believe one or two days later.
