  • Yet ANOTHER #%$@*! Ecto replica...

At least with this one they took a goregous coach & only added vynl graphics & industrial yellow/black FLOOR TAPE all over the damn thing... maybe someday this fascination with turning every year coach ever made into a Ghostbusters Ecto will end? Keep your fingers crossed anyway...

Aside from the Ghostbusters crap, it is a pretty nice coach.

yea that's why it caught my eye too Stodd... it's a nice car. All the stickers (i'm assuming they're vynl stickers anyway) can be peeled off. It's not an extreme "conversion" with dryer vent hoses & other bullshit screwed down to the roof... some patience & a bottle of Prep-sol to get the adhesive off the paint & it's a choice ride.

Wow, that was a really clean looking coach, there. The Ecto 1 stuff gags me, though. Wonder who bought her? Anyone here?

Anyone else notice the spelling errors on the coach?

Actually it's a pretty nice car, despite the stickers (which look like they'd come off pretty easy). I like the interior alot.

I have no hatred for an ecto if and only if.

                    A) They started with a complete hunk of shit
                    one more saved. right?

                    B) The car is so stripped it can not be put back original anyway.

If it meets the above criteria then the last is the most important.

                    C) It is done correctly, professionaly and is an ACCURATE clone.
                    1) a big part of that is starting with the right fucking car.
                    2) the guy that builds it should have at least seen the movie before welding a ladder rack with a propane tank on the roof.

If it violates any of the above rules I think the car could have been put to better use.

So, in your opinion...does the 59 MM in this thread constitute a good ecto project or should it be put to better use?

Why not, It is the correct car and pretty well stripped.

This makes me sick. Good use of a Eurika Landau because we all know they made a shit ton of them.

This makes me really sick! A very nice Superior Landau 3 way! Leave it the fuck alone.

I'll give you the Eureka...I wouldn't use that anyway. I think it's the poorest of all choices for the coachbuilders that year to use. As for Sean Bishop's conversion, my thought is this: while a part of me agrees with you, being a semi-pro car preservationist, another part says "well, they were the most abundant so it's not as bad" aka, the lesser of evils

Sean's got a 59 M+M now, I'm not sure what he's going to do with the Superior.

I thought he was trying to get rid of it? At least I could've sworn I read in that in the mutlitude of boards I've seen that car talked about...
