Who would cut the hood on something like this to put such idiot pipes on it? The culprit should be hunted down, drawn and quartered then beaten with his own arms and legs.

Beauty car though. Hope somebody gets it and puts it back together.

It is a hood. A '58 hood. A hood that in fact interchanges with every other Cadillac produced that year (although trim holes may be different). Too much emphasis on the holes in this hood. A buyer with the coin on hand for that Eureka will also have $400 for a cherry replacement hood. Not a difficult part to acquire.

2 parts of the description are glaring out though:

"has almost no rust at all" - Oooph. Vague, relative, and open to interpretation. Notice there are no detailed pictures of problem areas.

"engine is a Cadillac 500" - Great for power IF converted properly. Fitting it requires heavy modification to the crossmember. Was this one cut out and weakened to make room or was the entire area properly boxed? Again, vague description and no validating pictures.

One item I really like about this Eureka is narrowness of the divider partition. I bet it has the same rear compartment length as other coach builders, given Eureka's greatly sloping rear roofline - yet wonder if it has more room. Nice styling touch.

Actually concerning the hood: I've been looking for one for two years that doesn't have serious cancer or need massive body work. The best deal I've found is closer to $700.00 in the Pacific Northwest. Even in it's present condition I would gladly trade him hoods. Mine looks like that moth eaten coat in gramma's closet!
As for the 500: If the Oil pan, dipstick, and pick up tube are from an Eldorado there is more than adequate room for the original crossmember. There is only one spot an eldo engine will need clearancing, and that's for the oil filter. Or, alternatively, run a remote filter and problem solved.

Man, that thing is screwed! Friend of mine told me to stay away from it, the engine is fried!
