        cheap casket...

        Greetings~

Not sure just how far you are willing to travel, but there is a place located in Joplin, MO, called Freeman Annex, who had a few caskets back in November.
I asked how they acquired them and this is what I was told...

There had been a fire in a funeral home and somehow Freeman Annex ended up with 50 caskets. Another funeral home came in and bought 25 or so and they have been selling the rest off little by little. Most of them have smoke damage but nothing to bad.

There were two inside the warehouse that looked to have minimal, if any damage, they wanted $500 each. They were one-tone blue outside and clean white lining inside.

The one My boifriend bought Me for our anniversary was outside in a semi trailer with five others. It had smoke damage, mainly on the material inside, and the outside has scratches and dents, but for $250, not bad.
        Comfy as hell too.

Here is the info for contacting them if you are interested...

The pictures that I'm thinking of had police cars in them, but these are pretty cool too.

I used to save pics on my machine at work, but I didn't have a chance to download them before I left. I hope that they just reimaged that machine and didn't poke around on it.

              Casket...

              Hey all...

Know it's been a while since I posted.

I know some people have mixed feelings about dealing with this person but I had gotten my casket from Ronnie Grubbs of Phantom Coaches a few years ago. I know he is still selling them. It cost me $325 or $375 for mine and it is solid oak with a complete interior. It had only a few minor scuffs on it.

That price I paid included air freight shipping to get it from CA to the terminal I picked it up at in CT.

He was very good to deal with when I got mine. In fact, the one I was originally supposed to get had gotten water damaged befor he shipped it so he sent me an even better one that what I was supposed to get for the same price.

Couldn't hurt to check with him.

Didn't we use to get ours for free? I don't think I ever paid a dime for any of mine. Of course, one was used to set a black man on fire inside of, but still..........

lol I was planning on one thats not burnt to a cinder...atleast not the outside.
I'm not sure I heard anything good or bad about Ronnie Grubbs.... of Phantom Coaches . lol. but that does beat the $500 that the first place I was talking too. and it would look better.
