People email me 'stuff' all the time. Curiously today, these turned up in a batch. Only 2 pics that show this Caddy unfortunately.

Looks like a raised roof line which indicated commercial chassis. What do you think?

        LOL

The foam handles look to be in pretty decent shape too!

Where is the 2nd pic taken from in relation to the 1st? (Not that I'm going to be much help in identifying, just curious).

Uncertain if I understand your question Evil. There is a '47ish Chebby panel van nosed in towards the Caddy with an air conditioner and some other assorted crap between them.

Talk about enigmatic vehicles. Same property has a '56 Chebby vert with equally horrid partial pics. Can't tell if that one started off with a roof or not...

Didn't pick up on the headlight opening on the Caddy before and assumed round. '58 it is.

              I'm leaning towards a '55

Two of us in that column! Dual headlights in all vehicles in '58.
Most all '58 GM vehicles look the same, but this Caddy is of an earlier vintage.

Those headlight buckets (not eyebrows) don't appear round to me, which is how '58 popped up.

Here is a similar angle taken of the shop '57:

Notice the grill surround below the headlight is way off - which is more so for a '58. I now agree that the mystery Caddy is of the '54-'56 vintage.

Well color me stupid...lol. I thought the vehicle in the foreground of the 2nd pic was the same car. I didn't even see the caddy in question in the background. Please just excuse me I haven't had much sleep lately.

If it helps my case I never saw the boat in that one photo floating around on the internet either

It's the lip around the grill that I was considering - I can see how it could be a 55 or 56, but I think in 57 they started rounding the lip that leads to the side body line?

And 58 had duals didn't it as TG said?

Yes Chris but the '58 dual headlights are considerably smaller in diameter and don't take up but a fraction more fender space. The difference is more noticable in the bezel's width.

Looks like a 55 or 56 to me too because of where the placement of the chrome trim is on the fender.

Well do we know where this mystery cad may be located...?

"We" may not know the location - but I do.

Safe to assume even if free, shipping the entire coach would be a major deterrent (unless it turns out being a truly rare example, like a Beau Monde perhaps). Not to say it can't donate parts though!

I never seem to grow tired of viewing these lying derelict through rose colored glasses.
