Whew! Glad to know it's not a total mystery...

Look what showed up in my email:

Nobody home. At least it shows a little more. Given the curve of the rear side door's molding downward - Eureka?

Could it be a serivce car? I dont see a second door handle or its missing one of the two.

          Possible, possible...

It looks like both door handles are there. Difficult to see, granted. Under heavy magnification, the slight contour change from the front door being ajar becomes a little more clear, as does the break between the two door handles. Just means that the rear doors are suicide.

Lack of headlight, side sconce, landau (or wreath ornamentation)...well, let's hope all those items not seen are stuffed inside. I have a good feeling that this is going to be a cheap, solid coach for someone in SoCal given the location in Mexico.

The husband works on an overseas boat and is hardly home. Haven't caught the wife there yet.

Appears to be a 54 Cadillac. Look at the lower trim that extends onto the driver door. This seems to go with some of the google images I just looked at. My 57 does not have that strange trim, and mine is original. Also, it seems to be missing some length at the end of the car making it a coach (amb/hearse) I'd say limo or 4door.

I could be wrong, just my impression.

                mystery solved!

See the one year only vertical quarter trim?

                1956.
My pal Julian caught up with the wife this afternoon. She has no problem selling it and 2 '56 Chevy 2 door hardtops that are in her garden. None have moved in at least 25 years, probably much longer.

Julian couldn't tell how complete it is because of crap piled up inside. Cheap though - someone in SoCal could be in this for $2500-2700 including shipping to San Diego from Baja, Mexico. Dr. Feelgood - tell your Phantom Coach buddies.

Okay...only part of the mystery is solved. Still don't know if it is a 3-way.

I would say it is a 3 way, but I am no expert, I am just going by the door configuration. But I have seen ambulances with this config also... I just don't know enough about them so I will shut up now... BTW, if you look at the pics just behind the rear door on the side it would appear that something was mounted, possibly a opera lamp or some type of emblem.. The other hole appears to be about a 30 caliber.

Can easily be a straight endloader. Partition is the key and that area is not shown in any pic sent. Door configuration doesn't really come into play. The only interior configuration doubtful is combination, given the landau and early year.

Eurekas had sconces. The 30 caliber hole is a landau mounting point. Evilelvis on the NHAA sold a '55 Eureka landau in January. Passenger side still has the sconce mounted.

The one picture from th front looks like a door frame in between the doors, so I am going against the grain of this thread and say "endloader with suicide doors."
