  • kind of a pro car

Here is the project that i have been working on for a guy this winter. it is a 1972 olds vista cruiser wagon. This will be a cloan to the 4 or so wagons that hurst built for the 1972 indy race. They did up these wagons for the rescue personal to use around the track. then they took them back, i have a picture enclosed with a picture of a restored one with all the decals on it. in the next couple of weeks this one should be decaled up. Now on to the next project a few inches out of the roof on a 46 ford please.

I love it! That is gonna be a really neat clone Rocky.
Wagons were my passion for years, since back then I was not allowed to own a hearse. Those days are over, but seeing this Vista Cruiser resto brought back alot of memories.
Step back in time to 2003, leaning against my 1965 Buick Sport Wagon, "vista-view" windows in the roof, tricked out with a 350 Chevy engine & Muncie 4-speed! God that was a fun old wagon...

Man thats was a cool car too!! It kind of fun when i have been working on it i have had some younger guys stop in and they were amazed at the glass on the roof, and the dual opening gate. fun stuff that gone, but not forgotten.

Mom had one when I was a kid. Loved the back seats.

My Buddy got a 68 Caprice station wagon for Cruzin The Coast. All origional, even all the rust. Next to the hearse, it looks like it has a chopped top, fun car too.

I always try to keep an old wagon around for cruising still, they're alot of fun & very practical for hauling chairs, coolers, & crap to shows! Sold off this old girl last year, 1969 Impala Kingswood 9 passenger wagon. Wish i'd been more careful who I sold to... they trashed this one & offered it back to me a few weeks ago. Pried all the trim off, sold the 15" x 8" Corvette wheels, & countless other disappointments so I had to walk away from it...

what a shame hopefully when you sold it you got what you wanted for it. I always say there is more toys out there always looking for new homes.

My first car I bought with my own money was a 69 Chevy Kingswood wagon. I have a couple pictures in photo albums somewhere that I need to find. No digital back then.

Here is a picture of my 62 Chevy Belair in it's prime (sorry it's small, only one I could find quick). Still have it in my garage, but it is all taken apart right now.

that will be a cool ride, my uncle just last year sold one like that, it was satin black and lowered, and had the inline 6 with split manifolds. That sound awsome.
