I consider the men and women in our military to be hero's, the sign up for service knowing it could take them into harms way and sometimes risk all to keep us safe. I really do wish our government did more for them, especially the ones who are injured in combat or the family's of the ones who are killed in combat.

Oh...I thought you were going to say "fucking".

But yeah, hooray for the vets! and for fucking! and for them making it a safe country to fuck in and for our leaders to fuck us over in!

I disagree. Freedom is free to all that want it - some just volunteer to pay the bill.

I am a vet. I run a USMC license plate on my truck, I have a USMC sticker in the back window and my tool box at work has jarhead stuff all over it. Can you believe not one single asshole at work said thing one to me or about Vets Day today. Don't get me wrong, I really don't expect a pat on the back. I just wish people were a little more conscious of those that have sacrificed for all of us.

Well maybe they're like me and don't do the holiday thing. Personally I don't wait for a damn holiday to come around to show my appreciation and gratitude for keeping them commies out.

i make it point to call my ol' vietnam buddy down the street and tell him every vet day.
i don't know his birthday but i do call him and tell him thanks on v.day.
my ex father-n-law did so many tours , you should see his hash marks on his dress uniform, one hell of a man.
