well, i ripped out what remained of the table. I don't think that I am going to rebuild the table I think on the hump I will construct a bench seat. and behind that a partial table with rollers and perhaps some subs between the rollers. At this point nothing is set in stone. IMAG0539.jpgIMAG0545.jpgIMAG0542.jpgIMAG0541.jpg

I was told something very interesting today about this Pontiac. Apparently it was fitted with a custom made gas tank, which I am told is a 50 gallon tank. Oy! Can't wait to fill that! $$$$ The tank appears to be strapped in. Which should make it easy to take out and clean, but it looks like after the tank was put on a tow hitch was nicely welded on to the cars frame, and I don't know if I will be able to get the tank out. This will be my project for tomorrow (assuming I can get some help) There is no way I am going to attempt to pull this out on my own. It is massive, and probably very heavy

Oh I also found another indication that this might be a combo car. (apart from the rear windows that roll down and the doors have handles) I found a patched hole about halfway back on the roof that looks like it probably held a beacon. After nearly 50 years since production, this could have been added by anyone, so I am still trying to dig up history.

Definatly change the fuel pump. Rubber is dry rotted, and will fail at the car show you bring it to.
