I believe a lawsuit would be in order...or at least a well deserved ass-kicking!

How many pics did you take the day of the floor removal? Any to compare to these to prove they screwed it up? Any recourse you can take?

Mr. Boogeyman makes a very valid point. From the photos you posted during the tear down the bumper looks pretty good but not so much after you picked it up.

Importing cars from other countries is ALWAYS a pain in the ass! Sorry you had to go through it all. As far as the rebuild, sometimes it is nice to be able to add some personal touches now that it has been torn down that far.

It's the government, and if they want they can do whatever they bloody well please!

It's an iffy situation because they asked you to rip apart your own car. Meaning you have no one to blame but yourself. However if they did it they probably would have screwed it up even more. I still say it's their fault fully though and they should compensate somehow.

taking the table out wouldn't have bent the bumper. that was most likely done while they were unloading the car.

It didnt quite happen that way. WE were made to remove the back. At that stage the bumper was fine....and that was well after unloading the car. The damage has occurred after we removed the back and before we were told the car could be collected. The damage to the bumper has occurred when they have moved it around the yard using machinery to shift it when they lied and said they just pushed it around the yard by man power.
