The tell tale sign of a Cad dist. is the casting bump halfway up the shaft. Chevy has one, but it's right near the bottom. Olds has a HUGE base gasket and a short shaft. Buick and Pontiac.... escape my memory right now...
I see them on Ebay every now and then for $10. 425/472/500 should be the same, although the earlier models with the double belts require removal of the AIR rails, and one of the belts will rub the cap a little (not a problem).
