I would dissagree with such a comparison. I don't feel it's anywhere near the same. Ownership of a piece of property doesn't afford one the same rights for service in this matter (and it would be a slippery slope to be on) - one cannot change their race or gender - but the type of car one chooses to drive is a choice.

I would say one way to get more information on this would be to consult a lawyer that specializes in such a field. Then and there one would find out the legality issues. Again, I find the actions of this establishment in poor taste, but I would still defend their right to make the decision. (dumb though it may be).

Heck, if it happened to me, I'd take an ad out in the paper, with my car parked in front of said establishment and a statement on why I was refused service. Post that on the internet and everywhere else I could reach.

yea, I can be very stubborn about such things. I would say though if it were done, to keep it as factual as possible. This way no one can try to sue for slander and hopefully they'll deal with public embarrassment.

Anywho - the one Burger King I went through (via drivethrough), the girl started yelling out one of her co-worker's names. He came up and was complimenting me on my car, saying how badass and awesome it was (stuff like that always makes me grin).

I get that reaction the most, only on rare occaisions have I gotten the others. But my friend gets more of the negative stuff than I do, he get's refused service from many fast food places in the drive thru.

Might be fun if 6-7 of us all got in line at the drive through to place food orders (that we really intend on eating) and all got kicked out 1 by 1. Think of how frustraiting that would be for them to cook/bag up 7 orders not to be sold.

Paint job is almost to the 1/2 way mark. Supposed to be done before the end of the month. So.....

I'll post some progress pics in the "projects" section soon.

If I could afford to go, I'd try to hit up every major hearse function hosted by any hearse club.

I have only had one car show tell me that i could not show my hearse there. They quickly changed their minds though when i informed them that if i couldn't bring my hearse i would not be bringing my 600hp ls7 GTO.

So far the car shows around here really seem to want them. I drove mine to home depot for some stuff a couple of weeks ago and got invited to one they are having. And another guy I know in town that has one that is a real beater got invited to one as well.

I get invited by the event coordinators all the time, it's the others there with their cars that seem to have an issue. This isn't all the time, but in the last 4 months, it has gotten a lot worse & more predominant.

Ha,Ha, Saturday was a beautiful night in Rochester... time for Ice cream at Carvels!!!!
I usually have to park out back due to the size of my Hearse but tonight the front spot was open, which has a longer curb so I can fit.
Pulled in (as Patty, my wife goes "Oh, hell YA") right up to 2 rows of people waiting to be served
For about the first minute or so, you could hear a PIN DROP
Funny as hell, picture about 20+ people standing there with their mouths wide open and ice cream dripping off their cones

The only thing said (or heard) was when Patty got to the window, the guy says "Your in the Hearse, right?... that's Cool!!!", and a couple walking away, the girl goes "that's kinda creepy".

Still getting looks... but no problems here in Rochester.
