Ok gang I have some new pix taken today, visited a local collector who has an old fire truck sitting off all by itself. Perfect backdrop!!!
(you can see the new dual exhaust peeking out at the bumper corners... glasspacks installed backwards, man it's snarly sounding)

Patient area needs alot of work, headliner is gone & the floor is carpeted...

Check out this beastly alternator, It's manually excited with 2 toggle switches & works great...

Does the alternator have an AC voltage output?

How did you run the pipes around the gas filler? I took my '66 superior combo to get duals put on, but the shop I took it too wouldn't run the pipes around the tank.

Well... it took them 2 days but they did it all right. Once they got to the back they refused to pass the tailpipe over the gas filler tube, so they went over the axle & made hard turns that pitched the tailpipes towards the quarter panels (just beyond the leaf spring mounts) and then ran the pipes nearly hugging the frame rails so they're out of sight & up in the quarters... then dumped them down on angles @ the bumper ends. The driver's side pipe actually passes to the outside of the gas filler tube! $380 later it was well worth it. i can post pix later so you can show your exhaust guy how to do it. Also... there's only 1 offset hole IN the carrier bearing cross member... so the passenger side had to go OVER the cross member.

I have no idea about an A/C output, as strange as this may sound it is an A/C & radio delete (am/fm) ambulance. The alternator is HUGE and is manually operated. There is a voltage gauge in the dash top-mounted panel and after you start the car you throw 2 switches... and you can HEAR the alternator generating voltage to recover the battery quickly. Voltage goes up & gradually drops back to normal, then the alternator sound fades when the battery is charged.

It's a 1966 Cadillac Superior 51" hightop "Royale Rescue" ambulance. One of my maintenance techs at work spotted it at a show in Fremont, Ohio. He took pictures & I was texting him telling him what it was. He talked to the owner & the owner knew of me from trolling this site for years... so it ended up I wanted it worse than he did, after some negotiations it was bought on the spot this morning. Finally home now & man it drives super! All the lights work & wait till you see the big "Q" siren under the hood, it has a chrome base & brass grill! (Why would they hide that, it belongs on the roof) it's on a foot switch & coasts forever (yes it has a siren brake but what fun is that?!?!)

Never saw one of these with suicide doors until this one. Examples of others found online so far have standard doors but there's a lot to learn about this thing. By the way the owner has 4 other coaches & is parting out a 1970 M-M and also has a bunch of parts from other coaches stashed including sets of jump seats... Send me a PM and i'll give you his email if you need parts.
Geez, all I did today was sit in the back of the hearse and watch the Mounds, OK Founders Day parade this morning......
It's pretty obvious you had a better day.....

Hope to have some fresh pix by the end of the week, ordered the new wheels & tires (these Torque-Thrusts are borrowed off my S&S Victoria hearse) and the tires are in but New Stalgia messed up sending the wheels. Sent 3 of the correct 5 on 5" lug pattern and one 5 on 4 1/2" lug pattern (Ford) so still waiting on ONE wheel to make it all happen. It should be here maybe tomorrow. By the way... thanks to Atti & Todd for the photochops it helped pick a wheel. This is what i'm going with, the new Cragar 500G Eliminator (and they're rated @ 2100lbs apiece) so they're rated way over the weight of this 7200lb beast!

I like the way they look. They don't distract from the ambulance, but once you notice them they add to the overall look.
