1st examples on eBay breached $20. They started showing up Saturday.

Ran a 5 Walmart, 2 Toys-R-Us, 3 Target, 2 HEB gamut this morning looking - not so much expecting to find an Ecto but to note what existing stock looked like. This way I'll have a better idea when to guess deliveries later in the week.

Don't see prices dropping much on this one anytime soon. More diverse demand than the '63 ambulance - which stayed hovering around $15 for over a month.

Here are those JL Ecto variations for comparison. Yeah yeah yeah...I'm missing silver:

It looks like most are the Ecto 1A, and not Ecto 1. Meaning the ghost on the side has two fingers up. The new Hot Wheels one is an Ecto 1. Are there any more Ecto 1 in the Hot Wheels size? I don't have, but one of the Ecto 1 of any kind. Hopefully I will find a few of this so I will have more.

Atti, not counting White Lightnings, you are missing 4 of the GBE1A... Pics later if I can find them...

no luck today, I found the 2010 hot wheels at several stores just no ghost busters. I still have a few more to check tomorrow.

Hey! Some things to keep in mind when hunting:

'10 Hot Wheels have been out for almost 2 months already. First Treasure Hunt released for '10 (Classic Packard) comes in 995DEL, 995DFL, and 995DFA case codes. Ecto is NOT in these.

2nd TH release (Old Number 5) first started showing on eBay 3+ weeks ago. I haven't personally found any of these yet and don't know the case codes. However, since Ectos just started turning up on eBay this past weekend, safe to assume they are NOT in those cases as well. At least, Ecto will not be in the first couple case codes of Old Number 5.

Perhaps most important? Different parts of the country receive merchandise at different times! There could easily be a month lag from when HW first come out to when they arrive in your neck of the woods - so don't get discouraged.

When I finally do find them, I'll pass on the case codes, along with how many come per box of 72. My guess is 2.

I nitial reports have the Ectos at 1 per case if at all... Guys, keep in mind that these will go FAST. This is a hot one with Hot Wheels collectors... I need a few hundred of them for customs

I also have the 1:50 Hallmark Xmas ornament from 2009, a few 1:24 Polar Lights model kits and the 1:18 Diecast version (and I didn't pay $100+ for it).
