  • Let's not forget we have the social circle birthday show coming up on the 18th. Please try to make it out, as we were specifically asked to attend.

We will also be discussing our final arrangements for the Days of the Dead show.

      • Hi all,

There is some confusion about the show tomorrow and the weather. Official word from the organizer is that they will reschedule if it rains. So let's just play it by ear. I will make an official call tomorrow morning by 10:00 am. Please make sure you wait to hear from me before coming over. Also, please make sure i have your cell #.

          • There is a car show at the Walnut Grove High School on March 31 from 10 am till 2 pm. Also some I've went me an invite to the Import Alliance Spring Meet on April 22 from 9 am till 5 pm at Turner Field. According to a friend they have classic and muscle cars there. They said last year they had over 2800 people at the show from all over the country. Registration is $10 per car

            • i posted the walnut grove event on facebook as an event. if we get enough interest (min 3) we'll go.

The other fliers i have for car shows are either already past, or the registration is too expensive for consideration.

We are now taking suggestions for an April event.

              • So, the next event on our calendar is the car show at

                Walnut Grove High School
4863 Guthrie Cemetery Road, Loganville, GA
                Saturday, March 31st 10:00 am - 2:00 PM

I would also like suggestions for a non-car show event in April. Someone has suggested 6-flags. A cemetery (or other location) type of picnic, or even just meeting up at Sonic's would be good. Kevin has also suggested a car show event for April.

                • Hi all, we are working on an event for April. Right now i'm leaning towards a trip to a certain park in Millidgeville organized by Phillip Hall, or perhaps staying close to home and going to Hard Labor Creek or Fort Yargo. Stay tuned for details.

                  • Mark your calendars:
                    • Saturday, April 21, 2012 - 10 AM
                      Freshway Market
1261 N Cherokee Rd, Social Circle, GA 30025-4016

                    • We will meet up at the freshway in social circle, and head out to Bonner Park in Milledgeville, GA for a picnic/recreation and then head over to Memory Hill cemetery to walk around and take pictures.

Travel time is about an hour, so we'll leave freshway no later than 10:30 am.

More information about the park and cemetery TBA

                    • Also Milledgeville is about 45 minutes or so away from Rose Hill Cemetery in Macon if you wanna hit up both.

                      Also speaking of Milledgeville.....

                        • so we've kicked around the idea of camping a few times. here's the information for camping at hard labor creek:

                          HARD LABOR PIONEER CAMPSITES
($50 per night) This is a primitive, rugged site for groups only, with a 10 person minimum. Site #1 is located by itself in the woods, and sites #2, #3, and #4 are located next to each other on the lake. Sites include picnic shelter with table, grill, fire ring, and outhouse but no water or electricity.

we could do two nights friday and saturday, or just one night starting on saturday. I think i would prefer two nights. the $50/night is per group, and we can pay that using club funds. so this would be a free trip for dues paying members. non-dues paying members should bring a donation in the form of cash or food/drink supplies.

we could do this as our may event, in addition to, or instead of the memorial day show in social circle. does this interest anyone?

                          • I would be interested in Saturday night, but there isn't a snowballs chance in hell of Denise camping out.
